Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Obelus collects, why, and your choices.

What we collect

Account data: your handle, optional display name, avatar, and bio. Authentication: passkey public keys (we never see a password). Content you create: guilds, quests, messages, market listings. Usage and device data needed to run and secure the service.

We do not collect payment card details — purchases are handled by Stripe or the app stores.

How we use it

To operate the service, authenticate you, show your content to the people it is meant for, process purchases of virtual currency, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors that run the service (hosting, object storage, payments, and the AI provider used for optional rule generation), and when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

Public content

A guild you set to “public”, and its quests, become readable by anyone and may be indexed by search engines. “Unlisted” is readable by link but not indexed. “Private” is members only. You control this per guild.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist on obelus.fi, we store the email address you give us and use it for exactly one purpose: to contact you about access to the product you signed up for. We do not use it for marketing, share it, or add it to a newsletter. Email support@obelus.fi at any time to be removed.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account from Settings. Deletion erases your profile (handle, display name, avatar, bio) and revokes your sessions and passkeys. Immutable economic ledger records are retained but no longer identify you. See how account deletion works.
